Experiential Learning

At OU Law, you will gain practical experience in and out of the classroom. Participate in simulations. Embark on an externship. Consult with actual clients. Explore the inner workings of our state and federal justice system.

Skills for the Real World.

Hands-on learning experiences are an important part of your OU Law education. You will quickly discover that these opportunities are virtually everywhere: embedded in your coursework, found in co-curricular activities, and available at on-campus law clinics.

Gain rewarding real-world experience through pro bono service. Our students are passionate about helping those who otherwise could not afford legal assistance. Hone your research, writing, and communication skills by working with a student-run law journal.

Off-campus opportunities abound, too. Spend time in a law environment through an externship, internship, or summer fellowship program. Perhaps you’ll join one of our traveling Competition Teams, or maybe you will trek across the globe as part of our international immersion programs.

When you attend OU Law, you will graduate with knowledge and know-how.
