What inspired you to pursue a law degree?
I was inspired to pursue a law degree after taking a family law class that was required for my major. I've always been passionate about social justice and advocating against inequalities. After that class, I realized that I could make a career out of my passion for helping others. Everything else just fell into place naturally after realizing that, a law career was the only choice for me.
Why did you choose OU Law?
I fell in love with the culture of the campus after touring and speaking to some current students and professors. It was very clear that OU Law was a place that would help me grow and provide me with the best opportunity to develop the skills needed to be successful. While I was also accepted into OCU, and it is much closer to where I live, I felt that the climate of the campus and my future peers -whose passion to help others were similar to my own- was worth the commute to OU Law.
What is something most people don't know about you?
I'm pretty much an open book, but something that most people probably wouldn't assume upon first meeting me is just how big of a nerd I really am. I love to spend my weekends playing magic the gathering, playing board games with friends, binging old Disney movies, or just watching anime/reading manga. I'm a huge nerd and I absolutely love it!
