SELS Students Learn from Sports Agent Alumna

Sports agent and OU Law alumna Kelli Masters ('99) spoke to students in the Sports Entertainment Law Society (SELS) today.

Masters, who also was the featured twirler for the Sooners and earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from OU, is now a registered sports agent. She serves as President of Kelli Masters Management, and is Of Counsel with the law firm of Fellers, Snider, Blankenship, Bailey & Tippens, P.C.

Among the experiences she shared with students was what it was like to have one of her clients become a first-round draft pick in the National Football League.

New Programs Create Greater Opportunities

Students at OU Law have more choices than ever before, including what kind of degree they will earn.

Juris doctor students now have the option of pursuing a specialized certificate contained within their three-year degree. Other students are now able to earn an entirely new degree at OU Law, the Master of Legal Studies, which requires a shorter time commitment.

Specialized Certificates for J.D.
The specialized certificates are in Energy Law, Natural Resources Law, American Indian Law or Business Entrepreneurship.

OU Law Alumnus Stritzke to Lead Recreational Equipment Inc.

Less than four months after inspiring OU Law graduates as keynote speaker at the May Convocation, Jerry Stritzke ('85) is taking on a new professional challenge. Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) has named Stritzke as the company's new president and CEO. He replaces Sally Jewell, who left the company in April when she was confirmed as U.S. Secretary of the Interior.

Stritzke has been serving as president and COO for luxury accessory brand Coach Inc.
