Therapy dogs return to OU Law

Throughout the next three weeks, OU Law will again be hosting therapy dogs for students to hang out and play with while studying for final exams at Coats Hall. The certified therapy dogs are provided by the organization A New Leash on Life. The dogs are visiting to help students cope with the stress of finals, and students should feel free to approach them, pet them, and play with them as they please. Each dog will be accompanied by a trainer at all times.

Students will be able to identify the dogs by their red bandanas that say “therapy dog.” Their home base will be the lower level near the south doors, but they will also roam the lower level and first floor of the law school. However, they will not be in classrooms or the second floor of the library, and trainers will not approach students without an indication of approval.

Here is the schedule for when the dogs will be visiting for students who want to plan their study time so they can play with the furry visitors.
