Hartzog Conger Cason & Neville Hosts 1L Class at Downtown OKC Firm

Less than a month after starting classes, first-year students at the University of Oklahoma College of Law were able to participate in a networking event at the downtown law offices of Hartzog Conger Cason & Neville.

For two hours, students were able to visit with the practicing attorneys and staff, learning about the firm’s practice areas and clients. The lawyers explained their specific legal career paths and offered tips to law students desiring to practice in a similar setting.

OU Law Classmates Describe Their Oxford Experience

The Oxford Summer Program is a once in a lifetime chance to live, travel, and learn abroad. You won’t have another chance in your life to study abroad with your friends, classmates, and professors. The program allowed us to experience an Oxford education while still having the freedom to travel on long weekends.

During the program, we were able to get to know the professors and their spouses outside of the classroom. For example, we had a whiskey tasting with Professor Anderson where he shared his knowledge of whiskey and Scottish culture.

Finding My Niche, Making Dreams a Reality with OU Law: My Experiences Interning in Nigeria!

I was initially attracted to OU Law because of its strong relations and expertise in the oil and gas and energy fields. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be involved in the industry, particularly back in my native country of Nigeria.

In the midst of all of the stress and confusion of my 1L year, getting my foot in the door of any firm or company in Nigeria was no easy task. Fortunately for me, the deans, my faculty advisors, and of course the Office of Career Services were there to offer guidance and support every step of the way.

SELS Students Learn from Sports Agent Alumna

Sports agent and OU Law alumna Kelli Masters ('99) spoke to students in the Sports Entertainment Law Society (SELS) today.

Masters, who also was the featured twirler for the Sooners and earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from OU, is now a registered sports agent. She serves as President of Kelli Masters Management, and is Of Counsel with the law firm of Fellers, Snider, Blankenship, Bailey & Tippens, P.C.

Among the experiences she shared with students was what it was like to have one of her clients become a first-round draft pick in the National Football League.
