Patrick Chesley is an assistant professor of clinical education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law Legal Clinic. He supervises both civil and criminal clinics.

He began his career as an adjunct professor of law at the Oklahoma City University College of Law. He spent two years as a part-time indigent criminal defense clinical instructor at the University of Oklahoma where he contributed to winning several jury trials as well as prevailing at many preliminary hearings. He has worked as the president and CEO of Celtek, Inc. as well as provided independent counsel to the Oklahoma Blood Institute.

Throughout his career, he has primarily practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, indigent criminal defense, divorce and civil appellate work. He has spent a majority of his career in both criminal and civil practice and has donated a large portion of his practice to pro bono and indigent representation.

He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Western District of Oklahoma and the Northern District of Oklahoma. He is holds a professional license from the United States Supreme Court.
