Chief Justice Steven W. Taylor to Speak at OU Law Aug. 19
NORMAN – Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven W. Taylor will address students at the University of Oklahoma College of Law at noon on Friday, Aug. 19, in Classroom Two at the OU College of Law. Taylor’s visit to the college is a part of the Student Bar Association’s Leadership Summit, which was designed for student leaders to plan the year, tackle various challenges and collaborate on projects. Taylor will discuss public service and the importance of lawyers being engaged in the community. Taylor is a 1974 graduate of OU College of Law and was appointed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court in 2004 by former Governor Brad Henry. He was later retained by the citizens of Oklahoma in a 1996 and 2010 statewide election. In addition, Taylor was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2009.
