NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma Department of Legal Assistant Education at the OU Law Center is enrolling students now through May 11 for their summer paralegal course, which begins in June.

The two-year course is designed to train individuals as paralegals for careers in private, corporate and government law-related activities and teach skills necessary to perform a variety of law-related tasks, including legal research and drafting legal documents. Classes are offered on Saturdays in order to allow students to continue working while studying for their certificate at the OU Law Center, located at 300 Timberdell Road in Norman.

“Students who want to begin legal-assistant studies this summer will have a head start on completing the program,” said David A. Poarch, director of the OU legal assistant education department at the OU Law Center.
