About

Loraine Farabow joined the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016 as an adjunct faculty member teaching Professional Responsibility. She is also the First Assistant General Counsel for the Oklahoma Bar Association. Since 1998, Ms. Farabow has represented the Oklahoma Bar Association in attorney disciplinary and licensure proceedings before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and in civil proceedings across the state. She frequently teaches ethics and professionalism at continuing legal education seminars.
 
Prior to working for the Oklahoma Bar Association, Ms. Farabow served as an Assistant Municipal Counselor in the Criminal Justice Division for the City of Oklahoma City.  She also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Rockingham and Caswell Counties in North Carolina.
 
Ms. Farabow is a member of the Order of the Barristers, the National Organization of Bar Counsel, a Fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, and a past member of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court.  She has enjoyed an AV Peer Review Rating since 2005 and an AV Preeminent Attorney rating since 2009 by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2011, Ms. Farabow was recognized as one of the OKC Metro Top Lawyers in appellate practice.
