The OPCD conducts two formal on-campus interviewing programs, in the fall and spring, to connect students to law firms, government agencies, companies and public interest organizations.
The fall program is open to second- and third-year law students. First-year law students are not allowed to participate in the fall session pursuant to the NALP guidelines which establish that a first year law student may not begin applying for summer positions until December 1 of their first semester.
The spring program provides opportunities for first-, second- and third-year law students.
Employers who are unable to conduct on-campus interviews may still choose to participate by signing up for a resume collection. The OPCD will deliver a packet of resumes, and the firms may interview the students in their offices or via telephone. This is a terrific option for an employer who does not have the resources to commit a half-day or full-day out of the office but still has a strong need for legal interns.
Students are encouraged to access numerous job postings located on the law school’s online database, Symplicity, by clicking here (opens in a new window) and selecting the “jobs and resume collection” tab.
