Eric King is a shareholder with the firm of GableGotwals in its Oklahoma City office. His practice focuses on all areas of oil and gas law. He has been a frequent lecturer on title examination, Corporation Commission issues, underground gas storage, right-of-ways and easements including condemnation, and other oil and gas topics at Continuing Legal Education courses conducted by the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law. His current practice includes appearances before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (Oil and Gas Conservation Division and Public Utilities Division), litigation involving most oil and gas issues as well as real estate issues, condemnation, pipeline spill remediation, and transactional work.

AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, King has been selected as an Oklahoma Superlawyer in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 for oil and gas law; to the Best Lawyers in America in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 2012, 2013 and 2014 for oil and gas law, and to Marquis Who's Who in American Law in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. His presentation "Oil and Gas: Surface vs. Mineral Use" was selected for inclusion in The Best of OBA/CLE 2006 publication.

King is a member of the American Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association (Mineral Law Section), Oklahoma County Bar Association, and Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is a Past President of the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society, and currently serves on the Kuntz Committee on Natural Resources Law and Policy through the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He serves on the U.S. Board of Directors for Predisan, a medical mission in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras and Central America.

King is authorized to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; Oklahoma Supreme Court; Oklahoma Court of Appeal; all Oklahoma District Courts; and U.S. District Court for the Western, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Oklahoma
