About
Anil V. Gollahalli serves as Vice President and General Counsel to the Presidents and Board of Regents for The University of Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Cameron University, and Rogers State University. He serves in additional capacity as University-wide Vice President of The University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Gollahalli received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago. He returned to Oklahoma to clerk for the Honorable Lee. R. West in the Western District of Oklahoma. Before returning to OU, he practiced law in Dallas, working extensively in the intellectual property fields. Prior to being named General Counsel in 2008, Mr. Gollahalli served as the University of Oklahoma Vice President for Technology Development.
As General Counsel, Mr. Gollahalli is responsible for overseeing a number of areas, including Litigation, Athletics Compliance, University Compliance, Threat Assessment, Collections, and Export Controls. While serving as General Counsel, Mr. Gollahalli has overseen a variety of major legal projects including the privatization of the University’s utilities systems, the acquisition and renovation of the University’s campus in Italy and the development of the University’s television and media networks.
Mr. Gollahalli was named a “Rising Star” by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and since his return to Oklahoma, has been named to Leadership Oklahoma, and has been recognized as an Achiever under 40 and one of the Forty under Forty by the Journal Record and OKC Business magazine, respectively. Most recently, Mr. Gollahalli was admitted as a member of the Bar and an officer of the Supreme Court of the United States and inducted into the Distinguished Graduates Society for the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering.
