About

Professor Fox joined the College of Law in 2005 as Director of the Law Library.  From 2012-2020, he served as Associate Dean, Director of the Law Library, and Professor of Law.   In that position, he was responsible for the Law Library, I.T., ABA accreditation, and data analysis.  In 2020, he retired from his Associate Dean position, and he now serves at the Director of Accreditation and Reporting.  Professor Fox's responsibilities include law school accreditation, data analysis, law school admissions, and teaching legal research.  As an Adjunct Professor, he teaches Introduction to Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research.

Professor Fox previously served as an Associate Dean, Director of Information Technology, and Computer Services Librarian at the University of Southern California Law School from 1994-2004.

Professor Fox's research interests include the intersection of law libraries and information technology. Specifically, he is interested in how technology is impacting information delivery, research strategies, knowledge management and collection policies in the legal profession. He has authored book chapters on the use of data in law libraries and law schools and the use of technology in law schools.  Professor Fox recently served as Chair of the American Association of Law Schools Section on Law Libraries and Legal Information, and President of the Mid-America Law Library Consortium (MALLCO).  For more information about Professor Fox's scholarship and projects, please see his Selected Works site at BePress: http://works.bepress.com/darin_fox/.
