Volunteer Income Tax Assistance "VITA" Training

January 17, 2018 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Inasmuch Foundation Collaborative Learning Center

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance "VITA" Program will train volunteers from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, January 16
  • Wednesday, January 17
  • Thursday, January 18
  • Wednesday, January 24
  • Thursday, January 25

Training will take place in the Inasmuch Foundation Collaborative Learning Center. Pizza will be provided at all five sessions.

You do not need to sign-up, and all law students are welcome. If you cannot attend, or have any questions, please contact Katy Maddux.

VITA prepares income tax returns for low-income individuals, senior citizens, and the disabled from the end of January through April 15. We volunteer at the Norman Public Library on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The hours you spend preparing returns will help you meet your pro bono pledge, and the experience is a great talking-point with prospective employers.
