Inasmuch Foundation Collaborative Learning Center

Uniting state-of-the-art technology with the scholarly mission of the Law Library, the Inasmuch Foundation Collaborative Learning Center (CLC) at OU Law is a state-of-the-art space dedicated to promoting collaboration and giving law students an advantage in the digital age. A generous $1.5 million grant from Inasmuch Foundation of Oklahoma City enabled OU Law to transform 8,000 square feet of the Donald E. Pray Law Library to open the CLC in the fall of 2016.

Seminar Room

The Inasmuch Foundation CLC Seminar Room, which seats 16 students, is equipped with four 65-inch monitors, an Apple TV, multiple HDMI inputs, speakers, rolling glass boards, and a Crestron panel for switching inputs. Furniture can be rearranged to a variety of configurations, allowing students and professors to adapt the space to the most suitable learning environment.

Virtual Reality Stations

Two custom-designed virtual reality stations – loaded with interactive features – enable students to experience the law virtually and explore resources not previously available to law students. The library is currently creating 360-degree videos that can be used to train law students on a variety of topics – courtroom procedure, appellate advocacy, negotiations, and boardroom and courtroom presentations.

Study Carrels

Modern study carrels, designed for use with laptop computers, iPads, and print materials, are located throughout the library. Designed for long study sessions with comfort being a priority, they incorporate task lighting, foot stools, and power outlets.

Study Rooms

Designed to facilitate group work with technology, each of the four study rooms includes an Apple TV, HDMI inputs, a 65-inch monitor, wall-mounted and portable glassboards, writable glass table tops, sound dampening acoustic panels, USB charging ports, standard charging ports, and rolling work chairs.

Computer Lab

The heart of the CLC features a modern computer lab equipped with dual-monitor touchscreen workstations, large corner monitors, and movable whiteboard stands, all suited for small or large group collaboration.
