OILS Hosts Mixer for International Students

March 1, 2017 | By Mackenzie Dilbeck, Director of Communications
Last week, the Oklahoma International Law Society (OILS) hosted a mixer for international students and their law student mentors. The international students were from Nigeria, Cameroon, Pakistan, China, the UK, and France. The main purpose of this event, and events similar to this hosted by OILS, is to provide international students with an opportunity to meet those outside of their classes and promote the cultural exchanges in our law school.

"Mentor events are always a blast because it is a great opportunity to get to learn about the experiences that attorneys have in other countries, and get to know the international students at the College of Law," said OILS President Brooke Hamilton. "Listening to the different conversations people were having about their experiences practicing law in the country where they are from was really neat and I learned so much from my new friends."
