1. Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

2. Where did you attend undergrad?

I attended the University of Oklahoma along with a summer at L’Universitie de Blaise Pascal in Vichy, France.

3. What degree(s) have you earned?

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Political Science.

4. Why did you choose to attend OU Law?

I chose OU Law because there is not another school for me.  I knew the moment I walked on to OU’s campus as a high school student that I was Sooner born.  After receiving my degree, I still feel the same way.  The culture and passion that thrives through the University of Oklahoma’s campus is only matched by the excellence that is practiced there every day.

5. What is your favorite thing about OU?

The photos on campus are my favorite tradition.  The history of OU lines almost every wall, reminding us of past events and achievements.  They serve as constant challenges to carry on the legacy of excellence as did those that came before.

6. What (or who) inspired you to pursue a legal education?

I grew up in a court house.  My mother worked in the district attorney’s office, and I spent my days after school doing my homework there.  My father is a police officer.  The law is a part of my everyday life.  I knew that I wanted to be involved with the legal field but never quite figured out how or why until I graduated in 2010.  I went to work at the Governor’s Office in 2011 and, while sitting on my LSAT results, befriended the attorneys on staff.  The final push came after months of talking to them about what things they do and have done in their lives that could only happen because of their legal degree.

7. What is an interesting fact about you?

When I first began pursuing my undergraduate degree, I majored in physics.  I actually got an award in physics my freshman year shortly before I changed my major to Political Science.
