1. Where did you grow up?

My dad was in the military so I had the opportunity to grow up all over the United States. However, I've spent the last six years in Texas and now consider it to be my home.

2. Where did you attend undergrad?

I attended undergrad at Texas A&M University. Gig 'em!

3. What degree(s) have you earned?

My degree is a Bachelor's of Arts in English with a Minor in History.

4. Why did you choose to attend OU Law?

There are many things that I loved about OU when I visited for the first time (the campus, the town, the school pride), but the main reason for my decision to attend OU Law is the sense of community that I feel every time I'm there.

5. What is your favorite thing about OU?

My favorite thing about OU Law would have to be the faculty. They've been so helpful throughout this whole process, and I can't wait to work with them throughout my time there.

6. What (or who) inspired you to pursue a legal education?

I have always had a very deep-rooted love for animals and, as a child, I wanted to be a vet. However, I quickly found out that my brain shuts down when science is involved (hence the English degree). As a result, I decided to pursue a career in animal rights law. Ultimately, I would love to do work for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, an organization that works to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. I couldn't be happier about my decision to attend law school, and I am looking forward to the challenges the next three years will bring.

7. What is an interesting fact about you?

An interesting fact about me is that as a child I moved seven times (to six different states) until my dad retired in Texas. I then graduated from Texas A&M at the age of 20 and will turn 21 less than one month before starting law school.
