Meet the Class of 2015
Sadie RichardsDenton, Texas
1. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Denton, Texas.
2. Where did you attend undergrad?
I attended the University of Oklahoma.
3. What degree(s) have you earned?
I majored in Public Relations with a minor in Political Science.
4. Why did you choose to attend OU Law?
Aside from being one of the top law schools in the nation, OU has been my home away from home for the last four years. I am very excited to stay in Norman where I already know the campus and many of the students. The law school is beautiful and the faculty has already been more than helpful. Three more years of football season doesn't exactly stink either.
5. What is your favorite thing about OU?
My favorite thing about OU has always been our beautiful campus.
6. What (or who) inspired you to pursue a legal education?
I would have to say that my courses in political science, which I took for my minor, are what really made me become interested in law. Those were always my favorite classes, and as I began taking them I soon developed a distinct sense of respect for our system of government in the U.S. We are very fortunate to live in a country where you have the right to an attorney, amongst so many other rights. I am excited to be a part of the system that defends and upholds those rights.
7. What is an interesting fact about you?
I am a first generation college graduate and, obviously, a first generation law student. If that isn't interesting enough, you won't be surprised to hear that, like most little girls, I didn't grow up wanting to be a lawyer. However, rather than aspiring to be a princess or ballerina, I had my heart set on being a construction worker until I was about ten years old.
