2. Where did you attend undergrad?
The University of Oklahoma
3. What degree(s) have you earned?
Bachelors of Arts in Administrative Leadership
4. Why did you choose to attend OU Law?
OU Law has always been my law school of choice. Its high standards of excellence and top quality professors made the choice both easy and natural. Also, I am a proud Oklahoman. While I was accepted to other law schools across the nation, OU Law allows me to study in the state I know and love.
5. What is your favorite thing about OU?
The University of Oklahoma is the premier center for higher education in Oklahoma. It has a proud history of training our state's top professionals in academics, business and politics.
6. What (or who) inspired you to pursue a legal education?
In high school, my senior- level Latin class was reading Shakespeare's "Hamlet". To better understand the play, the class decided to put the character Hamlet on trial for the murder of the character Claudius. I was given the honor of serving as Hamlet's defense attorney. Studying for the role and making my case before my classmates caused me to fall in love with the idea of a legal career. From that day on, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer.
7. What is an interesting fact about you?
I am a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. I have been very fortunate to have served two terms as the Mayor of City of Muskogee, Oklahoma. First elected at the age of 19, I am among the youngest mayors in American history.
