Robert Brossett

Muskogee, Oklahoma

1. Where did you grow up?

I was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I was raised in Rolla, Missouri, for the majority of my childhood and it is where I graduated High School

2. Where did you attend undergrad?

Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri

3. What degree(s) have you earned?

Bachelor of Science, Major in Justice Systems

4. Why did you choose to attend OU Law?

OU had the perfect combination of a quality education at a public school and a great location for my family. 

5. What is your favorite thing about OU?

I love how everyone at OU has tremendous pride in the school and being a Sooner.

6. What (or who) inspired you to pursue a legal education?

As a Truman State undergraduate and Army ROTC cadet, I had the opportunity to intern at the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate in Fort Knox, Kentucky. The internship inspired me to have the goal of one day becoming a Judge Advocate in the JAG Corps.

7. What is an interesting fact about you?

I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers in May of 2008. I have been on active duty for the last four years and currently serve as a Captain at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In 2009, I was deployed for eight months in Iraq as a Platoon Leader in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I will be attending OU Law through the Army's Funded Legal Education Program.
