OU Law SBA Invites Runners, Sponsors to Race Judicata Nov. 4

NORMAN – Runners are invited to participate in Race Judicata, an annual 5K race and fundraiser sponsored by the Student Bar Association at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at 2 p.m. The event unites OU Law students, graduates and the local community to support two programs providing free legal aid.

OU Law Ranked 15th Among 200 Law Schools Nationwide as a "Best Value" Law School

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma College of Law was ranked number 15 out of 200 law schools nationwide and given a grade of “A+” on this year’s annual National Jurist list of “Best Value” law schools. The national list ranks the top 20 law schools based on placement in legal jobs, bar passage rates and amounts of student debt, among other criteria, and provides letter grades for schools below the top 20.

OU Law Student Named Area Representative for National Native American Law Student Association

NORMAN - University of Oklahoma College of Law student Roy B. Brown has been elected Area 3 Representative for the National Native American Law Student Association. Currently a second-year law student with an interest in Indian and public interest law, Brown is Northern Arapaho from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma Law Center recently named Associate Dean and Professor Michael Scaperlanda as director of the Legal Assistant Education department. Founded in 1968, the department leads OU Law Center’s paralegal course offerings and certificate program.
