Transfer Students
To be eligible for admission to the College of Law with advanced standing, you must have completed at least one full year of work in an ABA-accredited law school. Admission for transfer is based upon law school GPA and law school class standing.
To apply for admission with advanced standing you must submit:
- the Application for Admission and the Supplementary Application,
- a copy of your LSAT score (this need not be an official copy from LSDAS; a photocopy of the LSDAS report on file at your current law school will suffice),
- a transcript from your current law school,
- a letter from the Dean indicating that you are in good standing and eligible to continue, including your class rank,
- a personal statement indicating your reasons for wanting to transfer, and
- a $50 application fee.
Students applying for transfer for the Fall semester are notified in July; Spring transfer students are notified in early December. Applicants who have been dismissed from another law school for scholastic deficiency will not be considered for admission.
