About
Professor DeWalt is an Assistant Professor of Legal Research and Writing. Professor DeWalt joined the University of Oklahoma College of Law faculty in 2012 after serving as an associate attorney at Gungoll, Jackson, Collins, Box & Devoll, P.C. in Enid, Oklahoma. While in private practice, Professor DeWalt focused on litigation involving oil and gas matters, construction law, commercial law, negligence, contract disputes, and property disputes. She received the award of Outstanding Young Lawyer from the Garfield County Bar Association.
Professor DeWalt earned her Juris Doctor degree with Honors from the University of Oklahoma, where she served as a Note Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Professor DeWalt has served as a member of the Board of Editors for the Oklahoma Bar Journal and a Director for the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Young Lawyer's Division. She was a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association's Leadership Academy and is a past member of the Luther Bohanan American Inn of Court.
